These terms are the agreement between you and Click Design (United Kingdom) for use of the PaperToDigital app and website. By creating an account you accept them.
What the service does
PaperToDigital reads photographs of documents using AI and returns the text and key details. It is a convenience tool, not a professional service.
Accuracy — please read this one
AI misreads things. Figures, dates, account numbers and handwriting can all come back wrong, and the app will not always tell you when it is unsure. Always check the result against the original document before relying on it.
PaperToDigital does not give financial, legal or medical advice. Where the app reads a prescription, a contract or a financial document, the output is a reading aid only — check medicines and dosages with a pharmacist or doctor, and legal or financial documents with a qualified professional.
Your account
- Give a real email address — it is how we reset your password.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- One account per person. Creating extra accounts to get around the free scan allowance is not allowed.
- You must be 13 or older.
Acceptable use
Don't use PaperToDigital to:
- scan documents you have no right to scan;
- break the law, or help anyone else to;
- attack, overload, reverse-engineer or automate against the service;
- resell the service or pass it off as your own.
We may suspend or close accounts that do these things.
Free allowance and subscriptions
- Free accounts get 10 scans per calendar month, resetting on the 1st (UTC). The allowance is per email address: deleting an account and registering the same address again does not reset it.
- Scanning requires a confirmed email address — we email a code at registration.
- Subscriptions are £4.99 per month or £39.99 per year, and carry a fair-use ceiling of 300 scans per month.
- Subscriptions are sold on this website. Payment is taken by Paddle, who act as merchant of record and are the seller for your purchase; their terms apply to the transaction.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time — you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Refunds
UK and EU consumers have a 14-day right to cancel a digital purchase. Because the service is available immediately, that right is exercised through Paddle — contact us or Paddle and we will not stand in the way of a refund made in good faith within 14 days. Beyond that, refunds are at our discretion, and we would rather sort out whatever went wrong.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee it. It depends on third parties (notably Anthropic's AI service) and may be interrupted for maintenance, faults, or reasons outside our control. We may change or withdraw features.
Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Subject to that, PaperToDigital is provided "as is", and our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period. We are not liable for loss arising from acting on a misread document without checking it against the original.
Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time, in the app or on the web. Deleting it does not automatically refund a subscription period already paid for. We may close an account that breaks these terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK you may bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
